An ancient Roman joke

Here's the B-side of No. 27:


So I look at the next poem on my list, and it's Book VI of Dryden's English translation of Virgil's Aeneid.  Which might be a joke, but I'm skipping it for now on the grounds that I still haven't completely understood the prosody of my earlier Dryden poem (the one in which Alexander the Great burns down Persepolis).  I'll get back to Dryden if I'm still alive at the end of this list.  More tomorrow---
